Maritide

Your trusted coastal companion

Coming soon to iOS

Trusted marine decision and memory

Know the water. Trust your spots. Never lose a day.

Maritide is a trusted coastal companion for people whose plans, safety, and best days are shaped by tides, weather, and the places that call them back.

A tide app helps you decide today. A logbook helps you remember yesterday for tomorrow. Maritide does both.

What Maritide does

The water doesn't wait. Neither should your decisions.

You shouldn't have to check one app for tides, another for wind, a third for swell, and then try to remember what worked last time you were out in similar conditions. Maritide brings it all together - anchored to the places you actually use, not generic forecasts for a coastline you're nowhere near.

Place-first conditions

See what's happening right now at the spots that matter to you. Tides, wind, weather, waves, sunrise, sunset - organized around real places, not abstract data feeds. The question Maritide answers isn't "what's the weather?" It's "should I go out right now, to this spot, for what I want to do?"

Map-native discovery

Find what's nearby on a real marine map. Tide stations, marinas, boat ramps, fuel stops, and points of interest - visible in context, not buried in a list.

Your spots. Your knowledge. Private by default.

Save the public places you check every morning. Create private spots that only you can see - your fishing holes, your favorite breaks, your secluded anchorages. Years of hard-earned local knowledge, finally organized and protected. Your private spots never appear in any public feed, search result, or other user's map. That's a promise enforced by the server, not a toggle you have to trust.

Remember what actually happened

Log your trips, catches, notes, and photos. Conditions are captured automatically so you can look back and see not just where you went, but what the water was doing when you were there. Over time, your logbook becomes a personal field guide that makes every future decision smarter.

Why Maritide is different

Not another marine spreadsheet.

Most tide and weather apps look like engineering dashboards from 2009. Dense numbers, tiny controls, weak hierarchy, and no sense that the designer ever used the app while standing on a dock in the sun with wet hands. Maritide is built for the water, not the office.

Designed for bright sun, wet hands, and fast checks

Big tap targets. Clean hierarchy. Strong contrast. The answer you need in seconds, not minutes of scrolling through data you don't care about.

Works when the signal doesn't

Cached conditions, offline-capable saves, and queued writes - because the best spots are rarely the ones with five bars. If the app isn't trustworthy offshore, at the dock, or in weak signal, it isn't solving the real problem.

Calm, alive, and intentional

Maritide should feel like a coastal companion, not a utility dashboard with no soul. The experience is restrained and purposeful - marine atmosphere without noise, beauty without gimmicks.

Privacy is a feature, not a setting

Private spots and personal logs aren't just data visibility toggles. They're part of why you'd commit to Maritide long-term. If you've spent years discovering your best places, you deserve a product that treats that knowledge with the same care you do.

Who it's for

For people who make decisions around water.

Anglers who want to know which spot will fish best on today's tide and remember what worked last time. Surfers checking swell direction against their favorite break. Boaters planning around wind and weather windows. Beachcombers timing the lowest tide for the best tidepool access. Divers, paddlers, coastal photographers, and anyone whose best days start with understanding the water.

You don't have to be a professional mariner. You just have to care about the conditions at the places where your life happens near the water.

What Maritide is not

What you won't find here.

Maritide is not a social feed that happens to mention the ocean. It's not a generic weather app with a marine skin. It's not a directory business pretending to be a product. And it's not an AI wrapper without strong utility underneath.

It's a marine decision-and-memory tool built around real places, trusted conditions, and private knowledge. Community and sharing features will come later - deliberately, selectively, and only when they add trust and utility rather than noise.

Built with care

Currently in development. Built like it matters.

Maritide is being built with real authentication, encrypted data, offline-first mobile architecture, and a foundation designed to grow without being rebuilt. The same engineering rigor that goes into enterprise software, applied to a product that respects what your time on the water means to you.

The first release will include place-aware marine conditions, map-native discovery, saved places, private spots, and the beginning of a trip and logbook system.
